I have been making shadowboxes since forever! Here are just two that I've done over the years. I really like to use the old wooden printers trays, they make the best ones. I currently have fifteen on my walls, and I am making one right now that is all animals. Next I'm going super hero's, which should be fun. It makes me sad when I think of all the people in the world that have alot of their past, in boxes, in dark closets, in drawers, never to see the light of day. Most of mine have stuff I got on vacations as a kid, things from grams and lots of things from my friends, who kept me very stocked up when I still resided in the valley of the sun. (Phoenix) My next big project will be a large clear box that will hold my marbles, back lit by black light. Such a simple pleasure, but great stimulation for the brain. I had a neighbor about ten years back who was a archeologist. The first time he came over to my house, he came in from the outside patio with the strangest, contemplative look on his face. Then he proceeded to tell me that if they were to dig up my house (as it sat at that time) in say, 1 million years, that whoever it was that was doing the dig would get the most impressive and complete bird's eye view of 20th Century Americana he had ever seen displayed in one place. He was so funny, I took that as a complement, and thinking of him now, I wonder what he would say about my home now. LOL! Let me know if any of you enjoy these. Much thanks.
Jules
