Fish Eating Flatware, Whassadat?

On my silver flatware website I feature all kinds of silver utensils. Most styles or types are familiar to us but there are some not often used in the U.S.

Like special forks and knives for fish dishes. A lovely shell pattern silver-plated fish dining set by John Biggin of Sheffield, England, is offered on my site. Although it is vintage new-old stock, in uncirculated (never used) condition, it has yet to find more admirers (even at the low low price).

So here is a photo showing how it's used. Hopefully a mouth-watering helping of Fresh Wild Salmon with Asparagus and Golden Rice--a bottle of good white wine optional-- should help tingle the taste buds. Also convince fish lovers in the U.S. that only the right fish serving set will do justice to this special meal.

The table you see in the photo is our pub table, made by my husband by marrying an antique cast iron pedestal to an antique solid wood tabletop that he refinished.  We dine here most days. He loves fine cooking and entertaining and so do I.

The screen on the left is only 1/2 of one, the other half was needed elsewhere in the house. I designed it and had a local frame maker execute it many years ago. The tapestry fabric shows 7 different world scenes of which I have only visited 4.

The place mats I made from vintage linen and lace, just for relaxation. We really love the fish dining flatware though. Wish more people would like to eat fish with the proper silverware, it's both easier and fun. I have 10 sets left (1 knife + 1 fork) in stock of these on my site; they're new old stock, never used.

Salmon, and asparagus are my passion among many other things - your table and setting look awesome! Makes me want to take out my china and silver, open a bottle of wine - cheers!
