Take care, Diane :O)
Our son has to put all of our desktop stuff from the old hard drive on this one, and set up email, so I can only get online so far. I don't think I can fix my page here yet, until he's done that. My twitter connection is not showing and I don't know why. Oh, well...
Thanks so much for checking the spool again! As soon as I get all my desktop stuff back, I'll change the description on the spool. Take care, Diane
This is an excerpt from the description in my listing of the wooden spool, at www.vintagecountrycottage.com
(this antique wooden weaving machine spool, really is
a unique find! It measures 9 3/4" tall x 5" diameter across each of the ends. It has a hollowed out piece in the
center, and there are a few flat head nails on one end. There is a very nice patina to the wood, and two little
indentations in the wood at one end (which is most probably where it had fit onto the weaving machine). It most
probably dates from the 1930's or earlier.)
It looks to me that the inside piece is wooden also. There are metal rims around the edges of each end that are hand pounded, and metal nails on the one end. Please let me know if you find out anything else.
Take care, Diane Mc :O)

I found an vintage weaving machine spool at a local estate sale a couple of weeks ago. I don't think it is antique...100 years old...maybe 1930s? I am going to list it on my website. Do you have any idea about those, as to age and value? Take care, Diane
