First Time Live Online Bidding



This past Saturday, at our annual New Year's day auction, we had the pleasure of offering a new way for our patrons to bid- LIVE online. Prior to the auction we were anxious to go through the whole process from adding lots to making the sale. So far it's been a great fall for us at Saco River Auction Co. in Maine. Winding Down August. Kicking off September.

Our last auction featured a complete estate and WOW was it an excellent sale! There weren't a ton of actual antiques, but the retail crowd showed up in droves and drove the prices through the roof on everything from toys to furniture, pottery, paintings, and more.


The most surprising part of the auction for us was how well the furniture sold. For some time now, trying to sell furniture for what it used to bring has been like kicking a dead horse- not much action happening.…
