I have a belt buckle that has Japnese characters on the back and I was asking if you could please translate it for me and appraise the bucket for me.  How old is it and is it worth anything.

Good morning from New Hampshire!  I am seeking an appraiser or specialist in Asian, (primarily Chinese), 18th and 19th century jewelry for a client referral.  Please advise if you can help, or if you can refer me to someone in the New England area?  Thanks, in advance, for your reply!

Hi, can you or your Father/Brother look at my post and tell me what the stone is? Soapstone or brown Jade?
Age or Dynasty? And value? I have it posted at I Antique online in your group. Here is a link to it. Many thanks for your superb help. Tom

Delete Comment love the color for sure!! beautiful piece you have here.

Thanks for dropping in. Yep it is pretty. The day I bought it I ran into a glass expert on his way to a glass show and he said in thirty years he had never seen one this color and his wife was a collector of this particular glass only in the green. There was a card with it. This piece was given to someone as a wedding gift in 1903.

No one else seems to know anything either. I had posted it in the glass section. Never seem to get around to doing the research on many of my own things.

Hi Fabrice the tea pot below is a Cantonese enamel. The shape and handle do show it to be the late Ming or early Qing dynasty. The value would be very little in the shape it is now. Value today $ 100.00-125.00 if it was to be restored would bring $1200.00-1800.00 We do not restore our items so I couldn't tell you who would be good in this type of restore. This type of tea pot is very beautiful in good shape. Sorry for the delay we have been traveling it is show season here in the West coast.
