This one is not a box, per se, but kinda cute. When wound up, the copper ship bobs up and down and it plays "Around the World". This song came out in the mid-1950s, so it can't be any older than that.

I can't determine what tune this plays. The wooden musical trinket box is 4" long, 3" wide and 2.5" tall and has a picture of European looking children on the lid despite being marked JAPAN in black block letters on the bottom.

I've had this for decades. An enameled vintage musical earring box plays "My Way" which came out in 1969 (was it that long ago???). Just sharing.
