This is a very interesting metal fishing item possibly a lure. But it has no hooks or a place to attach a hook. About 6’’ long and shakes when you wiggle it. .  No idea about this item, what it is, age, value etc..... any help much appreciated.

I believe it is merely a decorative piece, depicting the koi fish.As you can see, I have one myself.

HI John, This is a pendant - for a necklace! They were very popular in the 1970's, several people I knew had one. Yours is particularly long, so probably for a guy, or a large woman!

They were mostly made in India, along with all the hippy style brass vases and etc..

Molly, yours is longer or the same? They may have come in the form of a hanging ornament too, I just don't remember. :)

I have a smaller one, also.  It's cloisonne.

Articulated fish brooch. Made in Mexico from 1970s to present. Values depend on metal, size, condition.

I bought a jacket for $1.00 at a yard sale.  It had 3 fish sewn onto it, which is why I bought it.  I cut them off. Here's a picture of them. Pic is from 2013. http://iantiqueonline.ning.com/group/let-s-guess-what-this-is?comme...
