I have been trying to find a source for seat weaving material for Danish Modern chairs manufactured by Moller in the 1970's. They used a 1/4 inch flat braid that may have been a cotton fiber blend. The company that made the cord for Moller originally in Europe closed it's doors about 10 years ago.
I did find a source for a similar braid in the US, under the manufacturer's name of ELC Industries. They make cord for military accessories primarily. The cord they have that may be close is a mohair blend that is 1/4 and 3/8 wide. Colors are limited but it appears to be the best option I can find thus far.

The Moller chairs are attached as a pic file.
Normally the cord is a 3-ply twisted paper cord and I do know it comes in Kraft Brown and Black. I have not found other colors.
If you have a lead on sources of different colors of Danish Cord, I would appreciate it.

As an update...
I worked online with a man from New England to reweave the seats of four Moller chairs. He used flat cord from ELC Industries and did a great job under my guidance. See pics for final look.

I was able to track down a source for various cords that work well with the colored Danish Cord seats. The company is actually in the US, a company that makes cords for military uniform embellishments and other uses.
The chairs were completed with a nylon cord rather than cotton or twisted kraft paper It makes a comfortable seat as along as the cord is strung tightly. The chairs are Moller chairs and use L-Nails on the inside of the seat frame to string the cord first from back to front, then weaving the design from side to side.
