Bought this covered dish at a garage sale several months ago; have not been successful in identifying maker/pattern/age. Measures approximately 10"H and is approximately 6 1/4"W. Has a modified "ball" design on the edge of the dish itself; four small glass "balls" between two larger glass "balls". The etched motif on the lid and the body of the dish appears to be a pagoda(?) between two flowering vines. The only information passed on from the seller was"it's old". Any assistance is greatly appreciated!
Could be; I will do some more digging. Thanks!
Mary, it's Paden City, not Fostoria. Link calls it a covered compote but I thought compotes didn't have lids...so I would call it a Candy Bowl w/lid. This is from the Art Deco period, "elegant glass".
Link is exactly like yours. http://www.ebay.com/itm/171531410612
Link has a Buy it Now price of $19.99 which I feel is low because link has a chip or two. If yours is in perfect condition I would think $35-60. would be the value.
Awesome, thanks!!!! I didn't find/feel/see any damage of any kind to this piece... another garage sale find ($3). Thanks again and have a very happy Thanksgiving!
