I know the "Glass Hounds" to be an excellent resource of information. Perhaps you can possibly feel my surprise to have no comment. So, I went to the 'Early American Glass Society' for my answers. I thought I'd let everyone know my findings just in case there was an interest. There still seems to be a difference of opinion as to whether this is a spoon holder (Spooner) or a lidless sugar. This piece with the goats head was manufactured by the Hobbs, Brockunier and Company (1863–1891). The Hobbs book wasn't readily available but a suggested age was 1870's. Thanks for viewing. (I think 1878)
