A Note from Your Moderator Barbara E, Mauzy

Calling all lovers and collectors of vintage glassware: join our PYREX discussion, share your expertise, ask your questions, and post your pictures! As the author of the only PYREX book in print I will offer assistance and share my enthusiasm for this vintage glassware that goes from the freezer to the oven. Go green with vintage glass and have fun along the way! PYREX The Unauthorized Collectors’ Guide is in its fourth edition and I have networked for and am working on the fifth edition which will add PYREX Restaurantware. Don’t miss my other eighteen titles!

Hello fellow Pyrex enthusiasts - I'm Linda, and my husband Bryan and I run the fan site PyrexLove.com and the PyrexLove Flickr group. Many thanks Jeff for sharing a link to join!

Barbara, we are big fans of your Pyrex reference book. What a valuable reference! We have used it so many times over the years. Hope to chat with everyone here soon.

Cheers,
linda

I only use glass aka pyrex and other glass bowls and baking dishes. I dis-like the plastic as it sticks to the food especially when hot and you absorb all those chemicals. I sell some and keep some. I usually keep the ones that are plain and sell the colorful pattern ones, but I keep some of those also. I am trying to get my kids to use them instead of the plastic gunk!

Love your perspective! What's old is new again. This vintage glassware is so much safer and healthier than modern plastics!

I'm so excited to have found this group. A friend recommended it to me knowing I'm a total Pyrex nut!

Does Pyrex come in Currier & Ives designs? Thanks for the invitation to join the group, looks like it should be fun.
