Thanks, Tom!
I couldn't locate my old post and pictures; there are 86 pages of posts; I looked at about 15 pages and quit. Barb Mauzy knows her stuff. I thought it was Corelle, but she KNOWS it is.
Clarification: Corelle is a modern line of dinnerware produced by Corning Glass Works. These shakers are Corelle.
Randy, are your Pyrex S&Ps marked? If not, they may be Corelle S&Ps who uses the exact same shape. Your color matches Corelle ware. I think that Corelle bought Pyrex. I showed off a bunch of Pyrex/Corelle ware a couple years ago in IAO's group, "Pyrex". Pyrex doesn't have any wide stripes like yours and their S&Ps match cookware of same colors and they don't have any color like yours. The closest is Autumn Leaves, but it's more orange and the pattern are leaves. Corelle, on the other hand, can make private designs of many different shapes and colors so I think your S&Ps are Corelle.
I'll try to find my post and color.
I'm a huge fan of the Pyrex salt and pepper shakers as (1) The shape and colors are beautiful (2) They, to me, are so time specific and (3) They are wonderful to display and take up so little space. I have recently acquired a set in like new condition but I can't find others of this color. I will call them red, but to me they scream cranberry in color. Are they unusual or are they just a variation that I can't seen to locate?
Lauraetta, I've been collecting about 4 or 5 years now. Its become an addiction. Lately I've been trying to pair down my collection to mainly cinderella sets, fridgie sets and 043's. This does not apply to the large wooden cabinet ;-) And original boxes. My major weakness is finding original boxes.
Hi ~ We haven't had a great deal of luck with PYREX on eBay. I know that the pieces are heavy and require a lot of postage and I believe this slows down some buying. What is your seller name? I am sure everyone in the group would be interested in seeing your pieces, and maybe buying!?
Hi Barbara, I sell the Pyrex on Ebay as you do. I wish I could keep all that I find but I wouldn't have any room or any more that way. I looked at your store on Ebay and not alot of Pyrex? Do you sell someplace else. I found a promotional piece a couple of weeks ago. It is the Gourmet Pattern. Black and white. My favorite are the Primary Colors and the pink Gooseberry. I made a different set a while back to sell. 2 Pink Gooseberry and 2 Black and White Gooseberry. They looked nice together. They were the Cinderella mixing bowls. I keep looking for other pieces.
The pictures of PYREX are fabulous!!! Keep them coming! Lauretta, why not use a picture of your PYREX as your avatar on this website? It certainly would be appropriate!!! Do you have a favorite color or pattern?
