I Antique Online

A Community For People Who Buy, Sell or Collect Antiques, Collectibles and Art

My newest acquisition. I love them and paid more for them than I have ever paid for salt and pepper shakers, to my wife's chagrin. They are approx 3 1/2" tall and the feet screw off so they can be filled. I was told they were cast iron (e-bay) they are cast spelter! there are no makers marks. They appear old but not sure how old? Any information would be helpful. Maker? Age? Value? not for resale just want out of the dog house I'm in.

My grandmother had a doorstop that was very reminiscent of the boy. Canada 40s-50s. It would have been much older than that though. That's really all I know. Just thought I'd add my 2¢ to help move the conversation.
