Vintage China Goes to Baby Shower

I'm part of planning a Baby Shower for our kids who are having twins this fall! Since we know they are a boy and a girl (Luke and Leia)...we're just going traditional blue and pink...with a vintage tea party! What a fun way to use your vintage china tea sets...

Congratulations on the twins!  That is exciting news.  The shower sounds lovely.  When my son got married we had a similar tea party theme.  My sister gave me a bridal shower at a tea room and it was so much fun.  All that beautiful china adds to the special memories of the shower. 

I love the tea cup filled with roses.

We are doing the mix-matched vintage china tea cups (similar to this photo) and giving them as party favors...

Well, this is the week! I picked up two more cups and saucers at the 2nd hand store yesterday. The plates don't really match the cups but if we're really do this mix-match thing, I guess that doesn't matter! :)

Baked tea cakes last night and have them in the freezer. Sprinkled the tops with blueberry and strawberry jello-mixed-with-sugar to make them pink and blue. Fun.

Beautiful pictures, I'm sure the vintage tea party was a big hit.  I'd like to have a piece of that cake right now.  The table is set so lovely.  Now you wait for the twins.  Exciting times.

Just an update to the tea party baby shower festivities in August...our twin grandbabies arrived 10 days ago and today we get to travel over to see them!
