I'm trying to find a date to put with this backstamp on this antique transferware piece with a scenic center which has the Pattern # 2-8314, and a very faint impressed mark which appears to be oval beginning with Copeland and the stamped purple/mulberry mark. Thanks for any help... I've been looking and can't find it.

Thanks so much... I am elbows deep in lots of china I purchased yesterday and this is my favorite,,, wanted to put feelers out since my initial search did not give me any answers.... thanks for responding! You are kind!
Hi Michelle, I think you may find this article helpful if your dealing with "English China" Spode merged with Copeland in 2008/09. This means that your set would not be older than that.

All of the "Stoke on Kent" English factories became a part of Portmerion either at that time or shortly after. I understand that they still maintain a few original factory buildings in that historic area, so being that yours is marked "England" I would assume yours came from one of those factories.
It's a beautiful pattern, hope this helps!
thanks vicki
