Not only do collectors search for patterns, manufacturers and styles...they sometimes collect by color.
Blue&White Collectors are a great example! Are you one of them?
If I were one of them, this would definitely be in my collection. I believe they call this French Vintage.
Pinned this blue and white china in a LOVELY summer setting today.
I am a Blue and White collector, but minimally. I really only go for plates - but have mostly run out of room for them in my Blue and white dining room.
I do have one, very old early 19th century pedestal cake plate. I couldn't bring myself to sell it - it's so unique!
There is a wonderful site to shop for both blue and white, and "Flow Blue" antique china. They do have some modern patterns as well, like Spode's "Blue Room" and a few others.
It's http://www.blueandwhite.com/ If nothing else, it's fun to look through all the patterns and pieces they have! They are in London, I think.
What a great website, Vicki! THANKS!
Love this one off that site: Hot Water Jug small c1930s - Woods Seaforth
Up for sale!! Spode Italian Saucer before 1890!
And blue willow! Definitely.
Are you a member of the blue and white club? And a blue and white contest!
Another Enchanted Home photo! ~ where "blue and white is always a good idea!"
Stunning....I am beginning to drool! :)
The Blue Danube pattern was inspired from a somewhat similar pattern created during the Chinese Yuan Dynasty (1260-1368 AD). The designs showcase flowers which in Chinese culture symbolize happiness and good fortune. This ancient Chinese pattern which was so sought after it paved the way for the creation of the Blue Danube pattern.
Blue and White China collecting on a big scale!
