A recently acquired pendant.  Appears to be gold plate, with seed pearls and 2 types of undetermined cabochons.  Unmarked, measures approx. 3 x 3.  I don't collect jewelry and have limited knowledge in this area.  Any thoughts, age?  Best guesses welcomed, as they may give me a place to start researching.  Thanks!

Starting at the top and going clockwise, the cabs look like Hematite, Moonstone, Amethyst (hard to see color on this one), Opal and Garnet in the center. Look on the bail for any kind of markings/names/hallmarks. Any of that info would help date the piece. Very pretty!

Thank you Denise.  I've examined the piece with a 10x loupe and sadly cannot find a mark anywhere.  If you collect jewelry, what do you think would be a good reference book for this type of jewelry?  Thanks.

Not an expert by any means of jewelry but I would check Antique Victorian seed pearl jewelry online to give you a start. Stunning.

While this example has nothing on yours ;)  this is described a FINE VICTORIAN with filigree/scrollwork.  I found a PINTEREST page that gives you some more examples that are in line with your beautiful piece.  I hope this helps you.
