Hi Bruce. I am glad I found you :) I need help with these pieces of Royal Winton Grimwades I acquired at a sale. Could you tell me what is the pattern and how old these pieces are?

Thank you in advance for your help.
Sharon

Early in 2001 found myself doing a job that I loathed, I had a two year old son and I was trapped on the tread mill of drudgery, I needed a change. I had been buying the odd item off eBay so I decided that I would put $2000 of my hard earned wages aside and see if it was viable to make a living from my passion of art in pottery. With in six months I gave up the job I hated and went full time. While I still buy and sell on eBay I now have my own web site – Nicholnack art in pottery.

I deal mainly in British Ceramics of the twentieth century and I specialize in Royal Doulton, Carlton Ware, Australian pottery and to a lesser extent in Clarice Cliff, Maling, Amphora and Royal Winton. Where I differ from the typical dealer is that I don’t really bother to collect the items myself; when I began dealing I quickly learned that I could only afford to deal and not to collect. What I do collect are photos and the information I have gleaned over the years. This is my passion. I am happy when I buy an item and then just as happy when I sell it. I now host this information and many of my photos in the Nicholnack fact files which is part of my website.

With the help of Dianne I am building this group regarding British Ceramaics and Australian Pottery. It is my hope that I can link with like minded people and we can build a community which will inspire us all and build our knowledge. If sometimes I am a bit slow to get on line; please understand that I am a house dad and my oldest son is a special needs child.

If you would like to check out my fact files just follow the links below. I have stacks of information that I would love to share with like minded people.

From Bruce's Carleton Ware Collection:It is my pleasure to present for consideration a large and magnificent W&R Carlton Ware Baluster Vase hand decorated with the “Orange Embossed” pattern. The ground is a vibrant violet lustre wash over white ground with an ornate fruit freeze around both the base and the mouth rim.
