I Antique Online

A Community For People Who Buy, Sell or Collect Antiques, Collectibles and Art

Not only do collectors search for patterns, manufacturers and styles...they sometimes collect by color.

Blue&White Collectors are a great example! Are you one of them?

If I were one of them, this would definitely be in my collection. I believe they call this French Vintage.

Good grief, Lillian!! You are LOADED. Love the results of your "archaeological expedition"! I would say you are a true bone-fie BLUE and WHITE COLLECTOR.

My mom was the collector. I just inherited.

That's how I got here too. My mom was the collector/dealer and I inherited. Guess you could say my grandmother was a collector too since a lot of it is from her. But, my mom started the antique store and mall. I didn't get involved until she passed in 2006. Now...here I am! Totally hooked! :)

Interesting.  My parents were NOT collectors.  I guess I'm making up for lost time :)

More!

One of my favorite consignment shops had a lovely display of blue and white today :)

What a pretty display, Elaine! Did you buy anything?? :)

Not that day, Ellene!  I have no more room in my house for full sized items - that's why I collect miniatures now!

A souvenir of Monticello - a small plate (3.25" diameter). I don't know if my mom bought this when we visited there in the early 1960s or acquired it at another time.

I haven't seen this before. Isn't it classy? Antique Spode China Blue Willow Creamer and Sugar in Original SP Ho...

Two figurines I can remember seeing on my mother's hutch almost from the time I could remember.

Lillian, I have the same girl with a basket - plus a different one.  I think they were salt cellars?  They are so cute!  :)
