Event Description
Sellers of pulp magazines, digests, vintage paperbacks, and other paper collectibles and related items are already filling up our exhibit space. There will be 100 tables of pulps, books and other paper collectibles available for sale, daily until 5 p.m. The evening hours, from 7 p.m.-midnight, will see a variety of programming. To celebrate the 80th anniversary of the popular pulp, radio, and film character, The Shadow, PulpFest will be showing three extremely rare Shadow short subjects from 1931 – 1932 as well as a panel on the character’s creation.

PulpFest continued to grow in 2010 with attendance nearing 400, the largest crowd ever for a summertime pulp con. Reviews were generally positive, from Walker Martin's "I've never seen room rates so low for a hotel which also provided a large dealer's room, hospitality suite, and meeting rooms" to Laurie Powers' "...a professional and very well-run convention" and Morgan Holmes' "If you ever thought of getting into reading pulp magazines, this is the place to go." With all the positive buzz about PulpFest, it really is "the place to go" in 2011!!!
