Do young people collect antiques or is this an older folks sport?

I love antiques and collectibles and began collecting at 11. My mother started me in collecting glass dogs and later I graduated to trains. Today I collect Weller (my last name) and fishing items. I learned the love of collecting at an early age and this continues till today at my store Holly Hill Antiques.

Are Antiques a Good Investment Now?

The other day, a customer asked me if investing in antiques today is a good investment for the future. I answered that antiques values today is "any price you can get for it" and that "prices are genuinely down". Maybe soon they will rise.This is not a good answer -- especially for someone who is trying to sell something. I need to have a better answer and perhaps someone on this site has a more positive spin.

What is it? It's a Hay Hook

Here is a real nice old Collectible Farm Tool, uses may include Hay, Straw, Meat, Ice etc. etc. The hook is 8" long and the handle is 5 3/4" wide. The metal hook appears to have pounding marks that may have come from the blacksmith or person who shaped it.
