Actually James, 2000 is not a huge task.

We currently use a "new arrivals" page here, we snap a photo, minimal description, price and put it online.
We figure since we already do three quarters of the same work, we'll put it online to sell direct with paypal instead. Since there is no limit to number, or fees for selling, it seems a natural extension of our B&M store.

Have heard of Auctiva and others. Aren't they mostly used for auctions?
Dralle's fees aren't very high, she runs store (most items are like 3 cents/per item for store listing. she spends maybe $100/month plus percentage of sales. Actually online, and even ebay, are among the cheapest venues possible for retail sales. no other venue matches it. And the more you have up, the cheaper it actually is.

We went the other way, and are using the NING platform itself (same one iantiqueonline is set up on) to set the sales site up.
It has some limitations, but also many very unique benefits, especially for a more local customer base.
Of course, the occasional long-distance sale never hurts.

It took about 80 hours of learning, digging, experimenting, and programming, but it's now ready to go.
I figure we will be investing about 10 minutes per item to list, and that will be the only cost.
the only other cost is for credit card and paypal fees, but that only affects actual sales. (of course, doesn't include research into other shopping sites, sellng venues, etc, all which lead to this decision)

Sorry, James. like I said "Soon".
We just finished database last night to prepare inputs.
We plan to put up about 2,000 items over the next year, and let it grow.
Experimental in nature, but also free, which is good.

check back in a few, days, or i'll send you a message.
I could even set them up for "members only" on that site -- another feature we are planning to use.
A member could get first crack at items recently listed.
If you'd like that. just let me know.
And, sorry, no blue, we looked hard and long for the red and blue , but nowhere to be found in the little dingy shop we encountered them in. (yes, they must pass through the car wash before being photographed,, argh)
Or do you prefer your grapes with an "aged" look (like from the old west?)

HI, James.
Just wanted to let you know, we've come across some really cool grapes latesly.
they are in clear glass, frosted green glass, and burgundy.
They are tied by brass wire, with a couple of little leaves attached.
Told they were from Brazil or Argentina, the grapes are not exactly round, they are shaped more like a fig, I think...

Anyways, thought you might be interested. They will be for sale very soon at greenspot.ning.com , our new social/store website

James I stopped by French Broad today nice place. I talked to a guy there about a booth he said one of the lighted booths where 55.00. He also offered me a 10 x 10 for 1.20 a square ft. I don't think I need something that big. I'm going to go by Bryants this week to see what they have, I don't have that much for sale I guess I'm going to have to buy a few more things ha ha ha!

No way I would advise someone what price to set. I don't know myself half the time, it's all a game! BUT I do know that there have not been that many offered recently, as far as I can tell via research. So I would start the price at something I would be satisfied with and then see what happens from there.
I would only do a buy it now if there were others that have sold recently.

good luck and remember to pack it well when you do ship it! Just had a friend email me and tell me he is not going to buy anymore on ebay after getting three broken jars in the last two months.
