Space Memorabilia collectables of the 50’s

Just thought I would share this info with everybody. eH

During  the 50’s – 60’s there was a space race to the moon.

Major companies saw this as a good opportunity to commemorate and cash in on the hype. Many major companies started to produce lines of furniture, toys, light fixture, comic book, still & mechanical rocket ship banks, movies, coins, dolls, even some Countries put out postage stamps and the list goes on. Some items you can still buy new today, so nostalgia hasn’t gone away. The race for the moon, and let’s not forget Area 51, was the hype in those days and that’s what started everything.

Me … I like those old rocket ship mechanical banks or UFO mechanical banks.

Sorry .. Did I say I like banks?

P/S President John F Kennedy as the story goes had an Astro Rocket Ship Bank on his desk at the white house, must have been a rumor, I looked at hundreds of pictures and nope, nope  didn’t see it, nope
