I recently purchased a rocking chair at a garage sale. It's in good condition, but needs stained. It appears to have been dipped, since the seat slats are seperating. Other than that, it's solid. There were 2 pcs. of angle iron under the seat. I don't think that is original. The height of the back is just under 35". Does anyone recognize this as anything worth refinishing? Thanks for your help.

Andy, I do not think this was dipped, as you say, if it had been dipped the under seat area would have been cleaner, & notice the dk grey areas on the left side, I think this had been left out on a porch and had been painted white & blue and the paint pealed and was left out in the elements, the under seat metal hardware additions were some ones attempt to repair the split seat
