I Antique Online

A Community For People Who Buy, Sell or Collect Antiques, Collectibles and Art

You folks helped me before....so I'm asking again!

My aunt, through marriage, just gave me two blue decanters she received from her brothers' estate.

They are 14" tall and have a white stopper/cork. The bottom markings read: "Federal law prohibits sale or re-use of this bottle" around the perimeter and " D - 334 119 60 2 " in the center

What are they?

Wedgwood (no e) makes fine china; they do not make glass whiskey bottles. People copy their designs and then call it Wedgwood.
Here is a link to Wedgwood. http://www.crystal-co.com/wedgwood-china-dinnerware-jasperware.html

Thanks for the info. How can you tell it isn't Wedgewood? (What is Wedgewood? : )

Copy and past if URL doesn't work. Same with my prior post.

http://www.bottlebooks.com/federal_law_prohibits_.htm. Your liquor bottle looks like Wedgwood, but it isn't. There are collectors for your bottle, but their value is minimal, around $5-15.00.
