Antique Shops

I am thrilled to have found this website as I just love antiques and antique shopping. When we go on vacation I always drag my husband into every antique shop I can find. We live in Arizona and love to travel up north to get out the heat and there are lots of small towns with great antique stores. A few years ago I started collecting antique salt and pepper shakers and have found out a lot of interesting things about this collectible along the way. The prices aren't really too high either for some really sought after pairs of salt and pepper shakers. I particularly like the water related sets. I started with fish and birds and have now expanded sprinkling cans, water pumps, boats, mermaids, umbrellas, shellfish and fishermen. I even have a deep sea diver and a lady in a bathtub! Really a fun collection. I love to chat with anyone with a shared interest in this collectible. . My husband is German and he has just started a collection of beer steins. We already have quite a few so his collection will probably grow quickly. My only fear is that beer steins are a lot bigger than salt and pepper shakers and if he's as enthusiastic as I am we may need to buy a bigger house!
