                Tips on Garage Sale Hunting

Check garage sale ads for your personal interests / preferences and those are the sales you should go to first.

Draw out a map of the area you’re interested in and mark them #1, #2, #3 etc. [save time, money and driving around]

If you’re into antiques, go to the older, well established areas.

Always have small bills and change.

Start early.... {The early bird gets the worm}

Group all your interested items together and ask if you can get a better deal, chances are you will and save $$

Never be afraid to ask if they have other items of your interest that they forgot to bring out of the attic.

And for you killer garage sale connoisseur ....Bring boxes, newspaper to wrap your treasures.

Dress appropriately for the weather.

                                     and

                                 [Enjoy the hunt]

              It almost here !!!!         at least in Canada

I made this up a couple years ago and used it as my avatar.

I went to a rural yard sale but got lost. I stopped and spoke to a lady in the vicinity and she showed me where the sale was but by then it was picked over.  I thanked her and as I was leaving she mentioned she was having a yard sale the next day and if I wanted I could look at her items. What the heck, 24 hours early!  I  bought a whole bunch of goodies.  Yessir, the early bird gets the worm.
