I love antiques and collectibles and began collecting at 11. My mother started me in collecting glass dogs and later I graduated to trains. Today I collect Weller (my last name) and fishing items. The other day, a customer asked me if investing in antiques today is a good investment for the future. I answered that antiques values today is "any price you can get for it" and that "prices are genuinely down". Maybe soon they will rise.This is not a good answer -- especially for someone who is trying to sell something. I need to have a better answer and perhaps someone on this site has a more positive spin.
