From then until today, the Portuguese silver has witnessed the country's wealth in different periods of its history. If opulence silversmiths made their wonderful pieces, in times of financial crisis, such as in the seventeenth century, there was a depletion in the work of silver.

Among the first pieces performed, stood out platters and pitchers. The motifs… Continue

Decopauge Furniture

Does anyone know how to value decopauge furniture? I am truly unfamiliar with values and I have a client who wants to sell an entire collection made by his mother over a 25 year period. The work is extremly professional and absolutely stunning. There are small tables, chests, screens, picture frames, etc., about 30 pieces in all some done in fabrics, some done in paper and some in both materials. Condition ranges from good to excellent. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Vintage reel to reel player

I picked up several reel-to-reel tapes at various yard sales/flea markets this past summer.
The only problem was -- I don't own a reel-to-reel player.
Thankfully, a good friend of mine has one and he let me borrow it.
You can read about this vintage player and what reels I played on it in my latest blog entry at:
