Hubby says I can't hang my new vintage mirror in the kitchen.
Yes I can. Where else would you hang an antique mirror with fruit carved into the frame?

I found these two lovely antique beaded drawstring purses at a local estate sale. I was told by the seller, that the gray one with the tassel was from around 1917 - 1920s. The other one with the 'Arts and Crafts' type pattern is supposed to be from around the 1900s to the 'teens'.
The patterned one has a cloth lining, with little pockets, probably for lipstick and comb. There are some beads missing on that one.
In what I call the 'Arts and Crafts' style purse, there is also a long piece… Continue

I'M LOOKING TO BUY AND SELL VINTAGE ITEMS ONLY
Added by richard t andrews on July 22, 2010 at 10:54pm —
As kids my Dad always took us to the dumps and trash piles to find old toys to fix and all kinds of stuff. My younger brother still picks dumps and people's yards with permission. We never thought of making a living do this. It was just fun like treasure hunting. We both still dumpster dive sometimes and I'm 58 yr old woman. My brother has traded some of his stuff for land. Love watching your show.

I am writing this to give you a few things to consider when you find Native American Items. These are: Where was it found? What was its purpose? How old is it? Is there a story behind the design?
Where it was found can give you a hint of where to start looking for the Tribe that made it. It could be from a Woodlands Tribe, a Plains Tribe, a Southwest Tribe, a Northwest Tribe, a Coastal Tribe, or even an Inuit Tribe. Once you find out which general area it is from, you then… Continue

In my auction Saturday, July 10th @ 4PM EST, I have this fantastic Ruddy Duck Decoy. We weren't sure what it was at first, but this featured duck has had our phone's ringing off the hook for the last week. If you're a decoy collector you don't want to miss this one! Several people have identified this decoy as a Lee or Lem Dudley. A few think it's a John Graham Decoy; and, still others believe it's by someone about 50 miles away from John… Continue
