Recruiting

A few years prior to the U. S. Bicentennial I became involved with a group of Revolutionary War Reenactors. If you need a mental picture, think of those 'crazy' people who row George Washington across the Delaware River every Christmas eve. Those people, while very dedicated, are a losely knit group who only gather for that one event each year. While my group was together nearly every weekend of the year at some battle reenactment, a parade, a historical monument dedication, or manning an old… Continue

Random Thought 1a

I was set up at an antiques show recently. A lady, just slightly my senior, came in my booth with some pre-teen children. She was very drawn to our small display of old medicine tins. She was trying her best to drag the kids down "memory lane" along with her and they were simply not willing to go. She gave up finally, and just walked away. Even though that was a NO SALE for me, I felt bad for her. I got the feeling she was trying to instill a sense of history (and the value of it) to the… Continue

Unique Garden and Stepping Stones

I offer UNIQUE garden and stepping stones. These stones are not the same as you see being sold everywhere online. I personally create and design each stone. I am not a mass manufacturer, so I am producing unique one of a kind stones. Each stone is acid stained, sealed, hand engraved, and resealed to preserve its beauty. The stones are made of concrete so not only are they decorative, but functional too. I offer a variety of shapes sizes designs and colors to suit your personal decorating needs.… Continue

Hopalong Cassidy reproduction lamp shades for Aladdin lamps

I became involved making lamp shades about 4 years ago, started off as a hobby, now I make a few bucks selling them on ebay. My first few lamps were covered wagon lamps of Davy Crockett and it took off from there.

My biggest accomplishment, as of yet, is the Hopalong Cassidy Aladdin lamp shade reproduction, which took me at least one year to bring to fruition. It was almost like the Hoppy curse, everything I did in the beginning turned out to be wrong. After many, many attempts and long… Continue

Antique Furniture Search

If you have not used it yet, searching for antiques online is fairly simple. I use Google's product search quite frequently. If you are dealer, including your inventory on Google search is a great idea and easy to implement. Best of all, it's 100% free.
