Had a trip to a local antique fair on Saturday, at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School in Wakefield UK, hoping to buy some new stock for my shop.
No luck, on the shop stock front, but did buy a very nice loving cup dating from 1808, which is a "keeper" for me. The loving cup is hand painted pearlware, bearing the inscription "George Hartley 1808" on the front, with sheaves of corn on the reverse. I think it's probably from one of my local potteries, possibly Castleford, Don Pottery or one…
