"The American antique furniture styles are relatively distinct to their periods and collectors of these items were frequently partial to single style. Nowadays what is the best, antique furniture or the modern furniture?"

"try Phillip (or when in Italy, Philippe) HACKERT, born in Germany, painted in Italy (& elsewhere). This could be a print. Get a loupe/magnifying glass and look at it closely.  His prints come in a 14x22" size."

Italian artist small painting by Haikert

This small painting is by late 1700s artist Haikert. Not the best example of his work apoparently. The value seems to be between 4,000 to 6000 but I am not 100 percent on that. The Jay Paul Getty Meuseum has three similiar works but willnot reply to me. here are some pics.See More

Anytime I might have a realy valuable peice of art and it is to the point that no ne has discredited the peice or offered any other explanantion other than, (yes it could indeed be what it is) At this point, no one will even give  me a very rough estimate of any kind regaurding value. The best state in America for antique furniture

Now alot of people out here in CA have actualy never heard of this state and think its a county in CA or some small town they didnt know about. Anyway, if you travel inland, staying away from the coastal tourist trap towns, you will find dozens and dozens of small run down towns with 300 year old plus buildings standing but in need of a face lift. In these small towns its either a paper mill or great northern paper…
