My affinity for the wonderful world of antiques was instilled early on by my parents. Some of my earliest memories place me in Rockford, IL at a get-together of the Watch and Clock Collectors club with them. Mom got the real business aspect rolling when We lived in the Chicago area in the 60's and she started reselling her collection of vintage costume jewelry. I've been to Brimfield, on buying trips to the Sansom Street jewelry district in Philadelphia, have been to countless auctions and flea markets and haunted garage sales around the Pennsylvania surburbs all thru the 80's.

As a longtime computer support person and technical trainer, I've helped hundreds of folks become more comfortable with technology, as such, I'm always on the look-out for technology that brings people who find each other online together offline because it adds a level of meaning to such relationships and somewhat recreates the "family" feeling my parents had with other dealers during the years they had an inside booth at the Rennigers Market in Adamstown, Pennsylvania. They became good friends with many of them. Iantiqueonline is the only social network I've found that recaptures some of that lost camaraderie that I also felt duing my many visits to Rennigers.

You know what, I don't recall EdMar on Sansom. I think I go back a little ways before him, and I don't have a need to go to the street anymore. It must have changed a lot since the old days. But good to reminisce.
Hi Nancy-- I would be happy to become a friend of yours, especially since you're familiar with the Sansom Street jewelers row area of Philadelphia. My father was a jeweler in Philly and did business on Sansom St. for many years. Looking forward to visiting with you. Stan
