The sceptre or baton reminds me of 76 Trombones or the leader of the band as in parade formation. To my knowledge the teeth test only works for genuine pearls and only when it is your natural tooth surface. No crowns, jackets or resurfacing. I don't…

sorry can not tell you any more than I have but, I would guess the beads to be glass, Try doing a Google image search..There were many co's who did similar brooches

It's a very pretty brooch and appears to be 70's. That wouldn't be a c-clasp but a safety clasp or lock. Perhaps a brooch that large was meant to be worn on a kilt. Very nice.

I tried the spoon test. The colored beads have the same sound as the pearly beads. I tried the teeth test and the colored beads have a crisper click than the pearly beads. Still I could not confirm to anyone they are plastic or glass.

do you have pics of the back, and possibly some more closer pics, I would suggest posting it to the jewelry group, but from the pic it appears to be 1950's Victorian Revival costume jewelry, . try researching "Florenza" for the style etc.

It does not appear to be a Ginny doll

Yes, scepter is a much better description. Larger pics here http://www.booksandunusuals.com/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=262&g2_imageViewsIndex=1 No writing on the hat/medallion. I call it a hat because when viewed from the side, the crown is raised…

Hi, Interesting piece of jewelry. I would say that it is a miniature scepter rather than a baton. The charm you call a hat looks like a medallion; is there any writing on it? Can you describe in more detail what the item is at the end of the chain?…
