Victoria

Welcome

Have you joined our doll group? Also would love to have you post photos of your dolls on your My Page so that I might feature them in the main page slide show.

Thanks for your kind words about my work. The kewpie took me I think 2 weeks to finish. There is a lot of downtime when things need to dry and set up before you can continue. I live fairly close to Lake Pontchartrain which is more like a bay that opens up to the Gulf. That is where the water came from that hit us during Katrina. The oil has not reached the lake yet, but has affected so much so close to us. This is truly heartbreaking to watch. People's livelyhoods are slowly being taken away from them with no end in sight. Not to mention the wildlife. Terrible!

Thank you for the welcome, sorry for the delayed response, it's just that 3 boys no summer school means less time for me. I'll post pics as soon as I can. Thank you again.

Here are the photos of the Abraham Lincoln figure by Cecil Weeks. Included is a shot of the label on the base. It looks like something has eaten his shoes! I wonder if these could be restored... Thanks for any info you can give as to value, etc.

Hi Victoria- Still haven't had Abe sent to me yet from the auction house. I'll get him in about a week or so, and will send you a photo then. He's quite cute!

Thanks for your reply,
Jayne
