Growing up "Antique" ...Egads! Here Comes Peter Cottontail...

Easters from my childhood were magical... Frilly dresses, brand new white patent leather shoes, Easter egg hunts at church, coloring eggs with Mom and Dad and the virtual cornucopia of treats encased in our colorful baskets.

My mom always saw to it that our Easter outfits were very special. I think she dressed me up more at Easter than at any other holiday because she was tired of the dark dungarees, corduroys and sweaters of our Michigan winter. I think, too, that this was her way… Continue

Growing Up "Antique"...A Name is a Name is a Name...

When I was growing up, one thing I noticed about my family in comparison to others was that almost all of our furniture and accessories had "Names". NO, REALLY! Everyone else I knew had "the couch in the family room" or "the chair in the hallway." Not us! Terri,
Just wanted to let you know that I'm so happy you are a part of our China Chat group!! I can see by your blog posts that we both "inherited" our love for antiques and collectibles. Even though I've lived in Colorado for 15 years, my story originated in Oklahoma.

Look forward to your new discussions or comments in our group - anytime!
