"Thanks for the reply. I actually found out it's Ferdinand Gerbing from the period of about 1850-1861."

"Hmmm!  This is just my guess. With the hole in the bottom it seems to me to be the decorative piece to a neo classical lamp base.  It may have had a brass foot and cap and the rest of the lamp parts are missing.  That style was quite…"

Unsual Urn - Gerbing?

Hey All! New to this forum :) Just wondered if anyone knew what this vase is worth possibly? I think it's Gerbing from my research. It's red clay with an brown glaze. Very pretty and very detailed. Thanks! BTW, the bottom says FGWSee More

Unique Urn

I bought this lovely piece online and my first thought was that it was so beautiful it should be in a museum lol. I am looking for information on Maker/Age/Value and can't seem to find anything. I think the image on the vase is of Venus and her son cupid and perhaps another son? The maker mark is "F C W" and 1188. It's made of red clay. Thanks …See More

"This looks to be "Art Nouveau" style and era. Probably about 1900. It is "continental" which means made somewhere in Europe. Most of these pieces are not marked by the maker, it could be Germany, Bavaria, Bohemia etc.…"

Antique Pheasant Vase

I have a pheasant vase that I bought off of Ebay and I think it is quite old. I can find no information about the maker or how old it is. I just started to collect pottery and therefore have no real experience, but my gut tells me this is very old. I was thinking it was french or perhaps English. The top of the vase has vines and leaves (the brown from the vines is barely visible now as is the green on the leaves). It has a beautiful pheasant on the front (tail looks like it is losing it's…See More
