About Me
I collect all kinds of things, some newer and some antiques. I have an antique that I picked up in my teens, and have a few that I have picked up since then. I am interested in learning a lot more about antiques.
I have read and understand the Terms of Use and disclaimer section of the iantiqueonline.com website and agree to abide by these terms. Answer yes below.

A Bit About My Collections

I collect a lot of different types of items and would love to learn more about each area if at all possible. My collections include: Cookie Jars, Dolls, Sewing Machines, Comic Books, Baseball Cards, Ty Beanie Babies and Similar Toys (like the ones McDonald's used to have in Kids Meals), Cookbooks, Cameras, and Glassware of all kinds to name a few of them.

I still have a bunch of stuffed animals from my childhood and teen years, but they have been sitting in an Attic for quite a few years so may be in need of serious repair. I also have a set of China that used to belong to my Grandmother on my mother's side of the family.

I have 5 pictures of items in the Whadja Find area that I would like to have more information on, if anyone knows anything about them. I have a few pictures of some other items I need information on, but the disc doesn't want to work in my computer so I will have to see about getting it transferred to another disc somehow.

I also have an AMF Men's style 10-speed without the fenders (bought that way,) that I bought with S & H Green Stamps & cash back in 1976. I know it may not be worth much other than memory wise, but I still have it after all these years.

I wish I had pictures of all of these items, but I don't at the current time, and I won't be able to take any until I can get the $ together to make a trip back to the house in Iowa where they are located. When that happens I hope to have enough $ to rent a UHaul and bring a lot of the stuff back with me.

Native American Items

I am writing this to give you a few things to consider when you find Native American Items. These are: Where was it found? What was its purpose? How old is it? Is there a story behind the design?

Where it was found can give you a hint of where to start looking for the Tribe that made it. It could be from a Woodlands Tribe, a Plains Tribe, a Southwest Tribe, a Northwest Tribe, a Coastal Tribe, or even an Inuit Tribe. Once you find out which general area it is from, you then…

I need help & advice on a few items I found online today, and am considering buying to sell.

Today I cruised through the local Goodwills by way of Shopgoodwill, and I found a few things that I am considering bidding on. However, I cannot find anything out about them by looking on eBay. When I type the item in, I get a 0 items found message.

One such item is listed as: Yamasen 24K Gold Collection Fine Porcelain Set. The actual description of this is as follows:…

Thanks Dianne! I would love to post pictures of my collections on here, but they are currently in a house in another state, and until I can get back there to pack up what I can to bring back with me, I won't be able to post those.

I will post pictures of recent purchases here on the site, once I figure out how to get the pictures to come out and on a Picture Cd so that I can load them to my computer. I may end up selling a few of the recent purchases here in the near future, but would love to show them off on here.

I am fairly new to the antiquing business, even though in the past I have found some interesting things at yard sales, garage sales, fundraiser sales, and thrift stores. I have a lot to learn in a fairly short time, so that I can make a go of selling things that I find.

1 of the antique sewing machines I have is in my dining room with a doilie on the top, a blue glass electric oil like lantern with a glass globe sits on it, and precious little knick knacks along with small tins too. I did find some coasters that are very heavy, great shape, show old sewing machines on them, and that is where those sit too. This machine...only thing wrong with it is it needs a new belt. The wood is in Great Condition!! You cannot find nicks in the wood, but just see the gorgeous grain design through out the wood. When the machine is pulled up it is very shiny too. I have another older one in my hallway upstairs that also has an old cloth on it with some old heirlooms I inherited over time. That 1 has more of the curved legs with it. The 1 in the dining room is my favorite & I love to show it off too.
