Anemone Vase by Van Briggle pottery in gun metal gray glaze.
It is a short, wide-mouthed vase with anemone on it . The vase is about 5.375" tall and 3.75" in diameter at the mouth.
Marked on the bottom with the Van Briggle cypher, "Van BrIggle…

Could be gun metal gray. Greg doesn't seem to have this piece right now, Thank you for the info about the Double A marking. I understand the "v" is the finisher's mark, by Viola Merrick.

I've never seen one in black - could it be gun metal grey? Also, the Double "A" marking is for Artis and Anna - they are the founders of VanBriggle pottery. Go to Just Art Pottery.com - Greg has rarer examples usually in stock.
How did I miss htat? I don't see a black one on there but guess that wouldn't matter, maybe that shade is not in stock.
