My reference book lists this as a Sheraton table-chair, circa 1790-1810, but the turned legs put it into the 1880s-90s. My book is from 1982 and prices then were $1,400-1,900.
I've seen something like this in one of my furniture books - I can't remember what it's called. Ask Craig - He is very good at furniture.
