Paul Novak replied to Holly Kreienkamp's discussion Hayfield Wayfield Baby Buggy in the group Whadja Find Today
"This is similar to a Heywood Wakefield we currently have. Ours was appraised several years ago at around $900-1200. Haven't recently checked, but if in good shape with little missing, it should at least bring a few hundred, if you can…"

Paul Novak replied to char mcfarland's discussion i cant seem to find out what kind of art this is in the group Whadja Find Today
"Dzigurski used oil on canvas. If it isn't oil, it isn't an original. The wood, paneling etc backing was common for prints back in the day as it helped add some durability to a print affixed to it."

"It should be an oil on canvas if it were an original. It appears to be a print instead, and probably not worth much as a result. http://alexdzigurski.com/bio.html"

"Nearing the finish line on the American Slicing Machine Slicer. Tore the motor down completely, cleaned two dead mice out of it and dust that was packed so thick in the windings I thought it was insulation at first. All that's left is to polish…"

"Tackled the motor and blade assembly today. Nearly done except for the motor itself and some small pieces to clean up, with luck it'll be back in one piece Sunday evening."

"The carnage continues. This is the slider platform. I have the body done, but the top plate is aluminum and instead of painting it I'm polishing it, which is taking a looooooong time, so no after pics yet. 60+ years of grunge and crud in there."

About Me
My spouse and I are long time fans of anything old and unusual. We are currently turning this enjoyment of antiques into a full time endeavor. We look forward to learning more about the industry as we grow and improve our knowledge and standing within the antique and collectibles community.
Website: Optional if you have antique, collectibles, art or related website.

Tell us about your interest in antiques, collecting and any antique related websites, blogs, businesses.
We began with collecting for personal enjoyment. Over the past 2 years we have begun actively buying and selling in an effort to merge our personal interests with our financial lives. As they say, if you can make a living doing what you love, then you never really have to work.
I have read and understand the Terms of Use and disclaimer section of the iantiqueonline.com website and agree to abide by these terms. Answer yes below.
Yes
If you belong to other collector groups which one(s) do you belong to?
None as yet.
Would you be interested in moderating or co moderating a group forum in the area of collecting you specialize in?
Perhaps in the future as we become more familiar with this community.
Where is the Help Desk /Welcome Center button on our site?
At the top of every page.

My current focus is on establishing an online store in order to sell antiques and collectibles directly to buyers instead of through third parties like online auction sites. To that end I've established http://expressionsbyalicia.com

Just about everything I post here on Iantique is available in my store, and although my items are priced for immediate purchase, I also welcome questions and offers through e-mail and am willing to deal.

Thanks for the warning. His language got me suspicious, but when I checked out his profile and saw your comment to him I knew I was right.
