Love old things, objects that have stood the test of time. To me, they hold memories and energy from better days: reflecting time, workmanship, effort, and love of craft. Modern times are not for me. Give me the civility, gentility, charm and eloquence of the past and I'm content.
Tell us about your interest in antiques, collecting and any antique related websites, blogs, businesses.
~ Have a house full of lovely, cherished old things and take every opportunity to travel to nearby states to get my antiquing and history 'fix', as this is as essential as the air I breathe. I grew up amidst the workings of Daddy's furniture refinishing shop and grew to love wood and that smell only old things emit. So it began before I knew what a deep part antiquing was to play in later years.
