My thoughts: I believe in the Golden Rule.
Mostly I believe in the good book.
Our children are our most valued treasures.
I have bought and sold on eBay so I know how one should be treated.
It always takes less effort to be nice then it does to be ugly.
Laughter is contagious

I LOVE to read comments on my personal things that I have collected. So have a look-see, say "Hello", leave a remark and let me know you have stopped by. Visit often!

OK Kicko, I understand better what transpired. You may remove that customers information by placing your mouse pointer over the top right corner of the comment. An X will come up. Click on it and it will delete. Unfortunately, Google has already grabbed it and made a permanent record.

tomorrow, I ll visit the convention Center in Baltimore for Summer Antiques Show. I ll do some more research on painting. I am good with Chinese Porcelain. I sold the green dragon bowl from Ming Dinasty 1400's for $900.00 and someone from China bought it. There were other clients from Europe, Brazil, Hong Kong, Canada, Spain and England. In the States, people were not serious about it because of the crisis. They could only go below $100.00 for Chinese porcelain.

I have some paintings: Oils and water colors. I have some new partners (expert in Painting). Hope in the near future, we can work on the painting business and definitely, I ll get some clients for your painting too:-)
couple Antique shops wanted me to take their collections and sell it through Ebay. I ll start soon and you probably going to see more selection on my pictures:-)

On Ebay, there are not many serious buyers this summer (slow).

Oralei, please keep on taking pictures on your collections so I could download them and show to some of my clients:-)

I ll let you know if there are some interests on your painting collections.

Best,

Kicko

Thank you for your advice...it really help:-)
I saw you add more pictures on painting collections. It's not easy to "CLICK" it with your camera because of the reflection from the glass and glossy oil painting. They are great painting!

Hi Oralei,
How are you? Hope you could answer my question re: Crystal maker.
I need some help for the maker of this Crystal bowl and lid with brass bottom.
It registered number 825580 circa 1938.

I thank you for your attention.

Best Regard,

Kicko

I learned doll restoration from a great doll doc years ago who is sadly now retired. I can't begin to imagine the number of dolls he has had a hand in restoring both directly and through his students!

She probably should have named the doll Kate, would have been cute. We had a new addition to our family after the storm, but we named her after my Grandmother (much more pleasant memories!)

The doll that I repaired that is pictured on my site was a composition doll that was damaged in Hurricane Katrina. The compo just sort of melts when it gets wet. I was so glad to be able to get her looking nice again for my client. The doll is a Kewpie.

Handle & A Spout Cool, a little pitcher. All one color. Sounds pretty cool. Not something you find every day, or even every other day for that matter. Love to see it when you can. By the way, is the little Big Eye Girl in your slide show a print or an original?

Hi Oralei, I'd love to see the sanded majolica. Don't see them very often. Is it one color, two color or more? What size?

Thanks for the tip on cleaning the glass. It's inside the cruet, but I'll see what I can do with a bottle brush. Chris

Just a little out of touch here lately. between work, golf tournaments, booth at antique shop, and my grandson moving in for the summer, and family visiting ever weekend to try and escape the heat in s.c. I found a new friend in Jim Beam. LOL

Hi Oralei just stopped by to see how you are doing. Well i hope if you get a minute check my page and see the painting I bought at auction last night. It's not signed so I can't look up the artist. It appears to be oil on canvas. Its just pretty and I had to have it for 40.00 may check some local studios to see if they can help.

GOJO experiment on cleaning painting!

Not to long ago there was a discussion on cleaning old paintings. The rule of thumb is to let a professional take care of it. I'm in agreement.

Someone I admire and respect suggested using “GoJo” from the local auto place to clean the nicotine build up off a painting. He said it will clean the nicotine and not harm the painting. There was a bit of controversy about this.

However....Not only am I a wee bit hard headed, but I've learned years ago to "listen" to words of wisdom. Not just brush of… Continue
