"Sorry to say I have never seen one like it. The frame looks very old but the cameo doesn't seem to have the wear you would expect to see. It looks to be in a gold setting inside the wood. Does it come out? or have you checked? You might want to…"

"Mark, Navajo Sand Paintings are nothing but tourist trash. Authentic sand paintings are done by a Shaman (Medicine man) during a 2 hour healing procedure. The painting is obliterated by the Shaman at the end of the session.  No pictures or…"

" I don't have the time right now to help you search but my gut feeling seeing this rug is that it's not Turkish but similar to other Native American designs. Here is one webpage for these type rugs and I believe when you find your rug…"

"Nice, I think with art or anything really. If I don't get drawn to it I don't buy it. Good hunting. Looks like the rug isn't Indian. Looks like Turkey. Still searching."

"  This is a small Native American sand painting I found in a thrift store, likely rare and hand signed by L. Etsitty (I think that's right).  When I researched this name I found out that her works are very rare.  I've…"

"It should be relatively easy to simply e-mail a photo to one of the Native American people who handle items like this.  I'm certainly not an expert in textiles but I am an expert in Orrefors Swedish vintage glass and I've become an…"
