Vintage reel to reel player

I picked up several reel-to-reel tapes at various yard sales/flea markets this past summer.
The only problem was -- I don't own a reel-to-reel player.
Thankfully, a good friend of mine has one and he let me borrow it.
You can read about this vintage player and what reels I played on it in my latest blog entry at:

If you were a celebrity or politician this was the in-place to be scene in the 40s and 50s.
You can read my short blurb about it and view a matchbook cover by clicking here.

Here's a fun little fact. In November 1952 Lucy pulled the football away from Charlie Brown for the first time. This soon became a recurring theme (& cruel joke) every fall. You can view the original 1952 strip & the closest Charlie Brown ever go...

Here's one possible image for the group icon. It's a close up shot of a Gurley Pilgrim candle. I listed my candles earlier this year.

I recognize the 1966 toy catalog! Even though I was 16 years old that year, I remember when the Easy Bake Ovens were hot. Thanks for sharing!
