"I said it's "a reach..." meaning a faint possibility. There was an Amoco station near where I worked (1968-1979). They gave away stuff all the time to their patrons for fill-ups of gas. Your tumblers remind me of their give-aways. It…"

"Your glasses are called "tumblers" and are too big to be Swanky Swigs.  Your tumblers hold 12 oz. I'd guess they are from a set. Possibly a pitcher came with them, maybe even a carrier. I looked up red checkered pants, tuxedo and…"

Need Help Identifying Barware Glasses with Men in Tuxedos and Top Hats

Thanks Vicki for the invitation to Glass Hound Heaven!  I am hoping someone might be able help me identify some bar glasses.  There are eight in all.  Each has a number, and there is a gentleman with tuxedo and top hat inside each number.  There is also a painted red rim on each glass.  The glasses are about 5" tall, 2-3/4" across the top, and 2" across the bottom.  There is a slight variation in height in some of the glasses, as you can see in my photo below.  The glasses have concentric…See More

"Thanks for the reply!  The top of the glass is about 2-11/16" wide, and the bottom is about 2".  I would agree with your comment concerning the red rims.  I have found only a few with the painted rim, and most were made by…"

"They are pretty neat! They look to me like "Swanky Swing" or sometimes called "jelly or Mustard" glasses. Late depression era would be my guess. ( late 1940's to late 1960's).  Many of these are collectible. As to…"

Need Help Please--Numbered Bar Glasses, Tuxedos and Top Hats

Hello all!  This is my first post, so I hope it turns out right...Wondering if anyone has seen these bar glasses before?  I purchased them in an antiques shop in WV a few years ago, so I don't know their history.  There are 8 glasses total.  Each is numbered, and inside each number is a man in a top hat.  The rims are painted red.  The height is about 5 inches.  The glass is not perfect (they aren't all exactly the same height, each has "rings" or waviness, the number 2 glass has a bubble near…See More
