"OK, not for syrup.  No ice lip means it pre-dates ice cubes usually.  Roughly 1930 or older.  Not Depression glass.  Really is nice piece.  There are thousands of them to look at. I would call it "quilted diamonds"…"

"Hi Tom, this is not a syrup pitcher, it's about a 2 qt water pitcher. I thought it might be eapg too. There are no makers marks, just hoped someone had seen it before."

tomsantiquesetcetera replied to MidcenturyMarilyn's discussion Pressed Glass Pitcher in the group Whadja Find? Ask Us! Identification and Evaluation
"The square shape and size makes me think of a syrup pitcher. The pattern, as you describe it, is fine, but without a name, makes it difficult to find it in the thousands or different patterns.  It is EAPG, Early American Pattern (or Pressed)…"

Hi Marilyn,

Was just re-reading your comment about growing up in OKC area and wondered if you were there for the Christmas Eve BLIZZARD this year? We did! OMG!

Hope your 2010 is going good for you...

About Me
I am having a great time selling collectible and vintage items on ecrater.com. Many of the things I am selling are from my mom's estate. Having recently moved to assisted living, she no longer had room for all of her belongings from over 60 years of homemaking. She is also making brand new aprons from her vast collection of vintage fabrics for me to sell. I have a great many items listed and am still working on it when not at my paying job(yuck). Other than that I like to play pool and once in a while the penny slots.
