Those buildings are not sod or mud adobe type houses. They are thatched sides and thatched roofs. That style developed in Europe during the middle ages. They were also used in various island nations in the Caribbean and Pacific. I would guess they...

Without the dimensions there isn't much anybody can say about your bowls. I'm guessing that they are berry bowls, but they could be candy bowls or even centerpiece bowls. Since you don't want my input I will tell you that your answers lie within t...

I need to know what to call these when I list them on ebay. I don't know the maker, or pattern name but would like to list them for sale. What do I call them?

If you are selling them you will probably want to part them out, that way you will get the bidders that need just 1 or 2 and not just the people who want a full set. I would start bidding at $9.99 and let the bidders decide how high thay would go.

Well sugar shack Martin. Can't seem to find my card with the image of the sand majolica on it. No room on the camera at the moment. Not a really large one maybe five or six inches high. Red/rose in color, green leaves, flowers and a handle. Actually has spout. Damage like you find on most of them. I'll get back with you when I find the picture. I signed up for picassa and have to learn how to do all of that!

Hi Martin, How are you? Just mentioning two things. I believe I have a piece of the "Sanded Majolica" that your wife collects and I also have one of the glass pieces below , the girl in the blue dress. Mine is the shorter version. I'll take a picture soon as I can to share. We seem to collect alot of similar things. :)

Dear Martin, I wrote Boyd Glass Company regarding the date of thier mold. They wrote me back the following "Hi Cleta, If we made it, it would have our mark on it. We had this mould made for us. There is a mould that looks like it but is larger than our Louise doll. Hope this helps. Traci
Boyd's Crystal Art Glass, Inc.
Well the only thing it cleared up was that it wasn't a piece of Boyd glass and I still have no idea where it came from.

the first picture is a picture of the Boyd piece--the 2nd picture will be that of my piece. My piece is taller and somewhat more defined than the Boyd piece. Any other ideas where this might have originated from?
