"I know I am going to have to remove the wooden encasement, it means removing parts of the wood which has been glued to hold the cameo in. If I do it carefully I should be able to out it back afterwards. I doubt it is gold, I'm never that lucky…"

Not much to say, I work in a department store in sales but am working towards starting my own very small vintage & antique jewellery shop.

I have a website which I am slowly populating, but wish to specialising the content at some point to include the following:
Austro-Hungarian, Russian, European and tribal antique/vintage jewellery.

I have some experience working in auction houses as a jewellery administrator, but could do with specialising by studying gemmology (Which I can not yet afford lol)
